When is the last day to withdraw and still receive a refund?
Our standard refund policy has also been extended. You can apply in writing for a refund prior to 5th July. A refund (less $20 administration fee) will be processed back to your credit card.
What if the event is cancelled on 19th June – do I get a refund then?
Up to and on the 19th June, Cycling New Zealand will be monitoring the current advice from the government, local councils, other authorities. We will also be assessing our own risk mitigation over this time. If any of this advice or planning dictate that the event is no longer able to go ahead safely on the planned dates of 17 – 19 July then the event will be cancelled. While we appreciate the event terms and conditions state that in the event of an event cancellation entry fees are non-refunded, we also acknowledge that this is unusual circumstances for everyone. As such, if the event is cancelled on the 19th June then all registered riders will be offered a refund (less $20).
Is it likely that the event will still be cancelled after the 19th June?
If the advice or direction from the government other authorities changes, or our own risk planning changes significantly after the 19th June to a level that prevents the event going ahead safely, the event will be cancelled. At this time, it is likely that significant costs have already been incurred in the planning of the event so Cycling New Zealand reserve the right revert to the refund policy in line with the event terms and conditions (no refund in the event of a cancellation).
